Eltek Valere Hits Shipment Milestone

Eltek Valere, the developer of power conversion products with major operations in Richardson, said Tuesday that it has shipped over 200,000 units of the firm's Flatpack2 high efficiency rectifier product. The firm said the shipments come as telecom carriers look to save energy and reduce their CO2 emissions. The firm said it estimates its customers have saved close to 200 million kilowatt hours of wasted electricity, and reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 140,000 tons. Eltek Valere's products are used to save energy in telecom and other installations, by conversion to DC power supplies instead of AC power. The recent interest in "green" power has been a focus of the firm's latest efforts. Eltek Valere is headquartered in Norway.
