Eltek Delivers New DC Power Product

Eltek, the developer of high efficiency, DC power supplies which has its U.S. headquarters in Plano, has launched a new product today, a new product aimed at data center operators. The firm said its new energy rectifier has an efficiency of 97.2 percent, which it says has a "significant" impact on electricity bills of its customers. Eltek supplies its products to the telecom and industrial market, particularly for communications racks where power consumption and cooling is very important to customers. The firm's DC power supplies are far more efficient than typical AC power, and do not generate nearly the amount of waste heat that those AC systems.
