EDS Installs Coomer in Dual-Role, Promotes Eazor

Information technology outsourcing firm EDS announced Friday that it has hired Michael Coomer as executive vice president for the Asia Pacific Region and as leader of the company's Global Financial Services Industry organization. EDS said Coomer, whose hiring becomes effective Nov. 1, will report directly to Ron Rittenmeyer, president and chief executive officer. As head of the company's Asia Pacific Region, Coomer succeeds Joe Eazor, who was recently promoted to executive vice president of corporate strategy and business development, EDS noted, adding that Eazor will collaborate with senior leadership to develop corporate strategy. Prior to joining EDS, Coomer served as group executive of business and technology services for Westpac Banking Corp. EDS is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
