DFJ Mercury's Gardner Joins Portfolio Firm

Houston, Texas-based venture capital firm DFJ Mercury's Jay Gardner, a venture advisor at the investment firm, has joined the management team of one of the firm's portfolio companies, Fluensee. According to Fluensee, which is based in Denver, Jay Gardner has become Vice President of Sales and Business Development at the firm, and will lead the company's sales organization. Gardner was most recently venture advisor at DFJ Mercury, and is a board member of Phurnace Software; Gardner also has previously served at BMC Software. DFJ Mercury, which is an affiliate fund of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, is a major investor in Fluensee, which develops RFID tracking and management software.
