Dell Rolls Out Storage Assessment Service

Dell said today that the firm has rolled out a new consulting and assessment offering, targeted at helping its customers evaluate and select storage, backup, and related environments. According to Round Rock-based Dell, its new offering, Dell Storage Simplification Assessments, will help its customer improve the management of their storage and backup infrastructure. The new service covers backup, recovery, and archiving efforts. Dell said the service is available immediately. The move expands Dell's storage offerings beyond providing equipment and into an area which has traditionally been conducted by storage integrators and consultants.
