Dell Ramps Hiring In Silicon Valley

Round Rock-based Dell said Thursday that it has plans to ramp the size of its Silicon Valley research and development center to over 1500 people, as the firms looks to bolster the sales and engineering activity of a number of the companies it has acquired based in Silicon Valley. According to Dell, which is running a career fair in two weeks in the location, it is aggressively hiring for storage, networking, software, and hardware engineering for firms it has acquired, including Ocarina Networks, Force10 Networks, KACE, and Scalent. Dell said it has been busy consolidating the operations of all of those companies into its single research and development location.
