Dell Opens Cloud Center In Ireland

Round Rock-based Dell said Tuesday that it has opened up a new, Cloud Research & Development Centre, in Dublin, Ireland. According to Dell, the new center will focus on helping customers move to cloud computing. Dell said the new center is part of its Dell Solution Centre in Limerick, part of a $1 billion investment plan in new technology solutions and services centers. Dell expects to add 150 people between its two sites there, including software engineers, IT architects, engineers, and developers. Dell made the announcement Tuesday with Taoiseach of Ireland, Enda Kenny, and Irish Minister for Finance Michael Noonan.
