Dell Launches Virtual Lab Product

Round Rock-based Dell said Monday that the firm has launched a new "Virtual Lab" product which is aimed at higher education organizations. According to Dell, the new solution allows those organizations to provide access to lab-based software, via virtual desktops, hosted desktops in the Dell cloud, and other virtualized offerings. The firm said it expects the Virtual Lab solution will help higher education customers better address time, space, and budget challenges. Other details, and pricing on the solution, were not disclosed. Dell said it expects its solution will debut on several U.S. campuses this fall.
