Dell Launches Premium PC, Tablet Support Service
Round Rock-based Dell said today that it has launched a brand new, premium support service aimed at its PC and tablet customers. According to Dell, its new Premium Support offering will provide 24/7 access to technicians, onsite service, and support for both hardware and software. Dell said its new offering offers up 90 percent less time spent on the phone with technical support, compared with competing support plans, and is aimed at significantly reducing customer effort in gaining technical support. The new service starts at $39 per year on Dell's line of Inspiron computers, and is available in the US and Canada.
