Dell Launches Polish Plant, Second in Europe

Round Rock computer manufacturer Dell Inc. announced Wednesday that it has officially opened a second production facility in Europe. Dell said the new plant, located in Lodz, Poland, should significantly reduce delivery times of its products to an increasing number of consumers and businesses in Central and Eastern Europe. Dell said the $292 million facility covers some 37,000 square-meters of floor space and already employs 1,200 people. Dell's other European factory is sited in Limerick, Ireland.
