Dell Fluid Storage Fund Aims At Five To Ten Storage Startups

Dell has released more details on its new, $60M investment fund aimed at the storage sector by Michael Dell Tuesday, saying that it expects to invest in five to ten promising storage startups via the fund, which is being run by Dell Ventures. Dell said it plans to invest an average of $3-5 million per round in those companies, which it says will align with its Dell Fluid Data architecture strategy. Michael Dell announced the new fund at a Forbes conference in Aspen Tuesday. Dell said it has put together a team from its storage, software, CTO and corporate development areas to vet investments for the new fund.
