Dell Expands Computer Recycling Effort With Goodwill

Round Rock-based Dell is bolstering its computer recycling efforts today, saying that it has expanded a partnership with Goodwill Industries, to add 445 more donation sites to its collection network for unwanted computer equipment. Dell said that the additional 445 stores brings its total number of Goodwill stores participating in the program to 1900. Dell's "Reconnect" program lets consumers drop off their computers for recycling, with those computers either being refurbished, or broken down into parts to be recycled by Dell's partners. Dell and Goodwill said the additional collection sites are in Arizona, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tennessee.
