DealTaker Names President

Media General, operators of the Plano, Texas-based social shopping and coupon Web site DealTaker.com, reported Tuesday that Kevin Strawbridge has joined the company as DealTaker's president. Media General said Strawbridge most recently served as vice president of marketing for CardsDirect.com. Prior to that, Media General noted, he operated his own management consulting firm, advising e-commerce, retail, multi-channel and startup businesses. He has also supervised e-commerce programs for JCPenney Direct and SmartPrice.com, Media General said.
