CyrusOne Completes $130M Chicago Data Center Acquisition

Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne said it has closed its acquisition of the Chicago data centers of CME Group. The deal was worth $130M, and had been announced earlier. CyrusOne said the deal adds a 428,000 square foot data center facility serving the Chicago metropolitan area, another 36,000 in colocation space for lease, and approximately 15 acres of developable land adjacent to that same data center. Prior owner CME Group has entered into a 15-year lease for data space in its former facility as a part of the sale.
