Coremetrics Acquired By IBM

Web analytics firm Coremetrics, which has its roots in Austin, has been acquired by IBM, IBM announced this morning. The firm, which is now based in San Mateo, California, still maintains operations in Austin, where it was founded in 1999. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. IBM said it would hire approximately 230 of Coremetrics' employees along with the acqusition.
