Convio: More Than $250M For Haiti Relief

Austin-based Convio, a developer of software used by nonprofits to manage their fundraising and other efforts, announced today that the firm's customers have so far raised more than $250M for efforts to aid victims of the Haiti earthquake. The firm said that compares to $575.4M in total estimated by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University to have been raised so far for Haiti relief efforts. Convio said its clients raised an average of $32M dollars a day in the three days immediately following the earthquake. The firm highlighted clients such as the American Red Cross and Free the Kids as the nonprofits benefiting from outreach after the earthquake. Convio said it has more than 70 organizations using its services looking to help Haiti.
