Clearwire Makes Push In State
Wireless internet firm Clearwire Communications, which is deplying a nationwide wireless network using the WiMAX wireless networking standard, is making a major push in the state, saying today that it has opened up a network of retail locations in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. The firm, whose service allows customers to access the Internet from home, work, and on the road, said it is now covering 11 cities, and 4,700 square miles of the state. Clearwire is offering its CLEAR wireless service starting at $25 for home service, $35 a month for mobile, and through day passes at $10.
