Challenge Games Acquired By Zynga

Austin-based Challenge Games, a developer of social games and virtual goods, has been acquired by social games firm Zynga, Zynga said today. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Zynga said it would rename Challenge Games as Zynga Austin. Challenge was backed by Sequoia Capital and Globespan Capital Partners, and had raised around $14.5M in funding. Challenge Games develops the online fantasy game Duels, the fantasy baseball game Baseball Boss, along with other titles.
