Caringo Gets $5M More

Austin-based Caringo, a developer of object-based storage software for the data storage industry, announced this morning that it has received $5M in a new series of funding. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. Caringo said the investors included two Texas institutional investors, and will go towards expansion of the firm. Caringo develops object-based storage software, which is used specifically for digital asset management. The firm is headed by Mark Goros. The firm has previously received funding from Vodafone Ventures and Austin Ventures, although it was unclear on if those same investors were included in this round. More information »
