C$ cMoney Gets $15M

Houston-based C$ cMoney, a new startup focused on mobile payments, announced this morning that it has raised $15M in funding. The funding came from Kodiak Capital Group, LLC, and was arranged by Houston investment banking firm Pythagoras Group. According to C$ cMoney, the investment will go to support the expansion of the company, and launch of its solution this summer. The firm is headed by Jennifer L. Pharris. C$ cMoney said it is establishing a headquarters in Houston with the funding, which will also go to develop its technology and build out operations. The company said it is developing a way for cell phone and text messaging users to send money and pay for goods and services. More information »
