BMC Wins Monsanto

Houston-based BMC Software announced Tuesday that the firm has won a deal with agricultural giant Monsanto, and will supply Monsanto with its business service management software. According to BMC, Monsanto is using the firm's software as part of a large-scale, virtualization effort and migration to cloud computing. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. BMC said the deployment comes in conjunction with Cisco. Monsanto is a major provider of seeds, pesticides, and other agricultural products.
