BMC Software Gets Carfax Win

Houston-based business software applications developer BMC Software revealed Thursday that it has added online auto dealer CARFAX as a client. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. BMC said CARFAX has implemented BMC's CONTROL-M and Batch Impact Manager solutions in order to expedite thousands of batch jobs for its vehicle database, which contains nearly 7 billion records gathered from more than 23,000 sources. CARFAX is using BMC's software to eliminate manual tasks and create a fully automated batch process. BMC added that CARFAX has also deployed BMC's Performance Manager and Atrium Configuration Management Database.
