Blue Star Sports Buys Krossover Intelligence

Dallas-based sports management software developer Blue Star Sports said last week that it has acquired Krossover Intelligence, a New Yor-based company developing sports film breakdown and statistics tools. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Blue Star Sports said Krossover's tools are used by both amateur and professional sports teams, with more than 20,000 sports teams in more than 20 countries using its software. As part of the acquisition, Blue Star Sports said that Stephen Ross, Chairman of the Board and owner of the Miami Dolphins, Dan Gilbert, majority owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and former San Antonio Spur and NBA Champion David Robinson--all investors in Krossover--have all become shareholders in Blue Star as part of the transaction.
