Black Sand Technologies Names Sales VP

Austin-based Black Sand Technologies, the developer of power amplifier semiconductors for the wireless application market, said today that it has named Richard Murphy as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Murphy has previously served at Zero G Wireless, Aspendos Communications, Audience, and Embedded Wireless Devices. The new hire comes off of a recent equity funding injection into Black Sand Technologies earlier this month; the company raised $10M from Northbridge Venture Partners and Austin Ventures in that funding.
