Bigcommerce Taps Former Netflix Exec As Advisor

Austin-based e-commerce software developer Bigcommerce announced this morning that it has added Patty McCord, the former Chief Talent Officer from Netflix, to its board of advisors. Bigcommerce said that McCord will help it build and expand its talent initiatives as it enters its next phase of growth. The company said that McCord is known for her elimination fo format performance reviews, use of an "honor system" for paid time off, and allowing employees tp ick how much of their compensation is in equity. Bigcommerce explained that this year, it hired 200 people so far, which brings the company to a total of 375 employees.
