BigCommerce Funds More Than 30 Apps From $2M Fund
Austin-based e-commerce software developer BigCommerce said today that it has added more than 30 applications, via its $2M, integration fund for developers. The firm said that so far, over 500 developers have applied to receive part of its fund, with the company providing anywhere from $1,250 to $20,000 to developers for connecting their products into the company's software. BigCommerce develops e-commerce software for small and medium sized businesses; the firm said the biggest category of focus for apps was marketing. BigCommerce is headed by Eddie Machaalani. The firm is venture backed by General Catalyst Partners, FLOODGATE, and others.
