Best Employee Perk Ever: WhaleShark's $25K Costco Shopping Spree

Austin-based WhaleShark Media has just about topped the best, employee fringe benefit ever, handing one of its employees nearly $25,000 in merchandise from Costco's Southwest Austin store. WhaleShark employee Angela Wong was given a three-minute shopping spree at the warehouse store Thursday, after being selected as part of a promotion to help recruit employees to the company. According to the Austin Business Journal, the firm has been awarding employees a chance to win prizes such as the shopping spree every month. Whaleshark Media operates RetailMeNot.com and other online coupons and deals websites.
