Benchmark Electronics Sets Chairman

Angleton-based electronic manufacturer Benchmark Electronics said late last week that it has amed Peter G. Dorflinger as Chairman of the firm's board. Dorflinger succeeds founder Carty T. Fu, who is planning to retire at the end of the year. Dorflinger is General Partner of MAD Capital Partners, and has served on Benchmark's board since its IPO in 1990. Benchmark said that founder Fu has been planning to retire since more than two years ago.
