Bazaarvoice's Decker Joins Monetate As Board Member

Sam Decker, the outgoing Chief Marketing Officer of Bazaarvoice, said today he's lending his expertise to venture funded Monetate, a provider of A/B and other testing and personalization services or web sites. According to Decker, he has joined the board of Monetate, which is based in Philadelphia, PA, and counts among its customers QVC and Urban Outfitters. The news came just a day after a string of executive appointments--spurred to Decker's intent to leave Bazaarvoice--played out, with Dell's Erin Mulligan Nelson departing the personal computer maker to take over his role as Chief Marketing Officer. Dell, for its part, announced that it had appointed Karen Quintos to replace Nelson, who as SVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Dell. Monetate is venture backed by First Round Capital. Decker has not said what he plans to do after he leaves Bazaarvoice, however, did say he'd lending his digital marketing, social commerce, and start-up growth experience to Monetate.
