Baylor Angel Network Sets Investment Record

The angel investment group made up of angels linked with Waco's Baylor University apparently are having a record-setting year for angel investments, according to the university Monday. Baylor said that the Baylor Angel Network has made more investments in Texas-based startup companies this year, than any other year since it was established in 2008. The group has invested in six companies, investing more than $1 million so far this year. Baylor said companies funded by the angel network include HeatGenie, HyperWear, Metric Medical Devices, Oso Simple Technologies, Phunware, and VolunteerSpot. The group has now invested more than $3M in 15 different companies since being founded in 2008.
