Bamba Sells Technology To UK Energy Company

Austin-based Bamba, which had been part of the Techstars 2016 Austin class, has sold its data collection technology to UK-based energy solution provider Maximeyes Group. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Bamba was co-founded by Al Ismaili (CEO), Shehzad Tejani (COO), and Faiz Hirani (CTO). Bamba said that Maximeyes Group is one if its investors. Bamba develops data collection services and technology, aimed at collecting consumer insights from emerging markets. In addition to its offices and operations in Austin, Bamba also has an office in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya.
