Austin Ventures Invests In Online High School Firm

Venture firm Austin Ventures latest investment is in an online high school, The American Academy, which offers online courses and high school degrees to students. According to The American Academy, Austin Ventures led its $5.9M, Series B funding round for the school. The company had previously raised capital from vSpring Capital, which also participated in the funding. Mike Dodd, a Venture Partner at Austin Ventures, led the firm's involvement, and is now a member of American Academy's board of directors.
