Austin Ventures Acquires Publisher

Austin Ventures said this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Asset International, a publisher of financial information, and appointed a new CEO for the firm. According to Austin Ventures, it has named Jim Casella as CEO of Asset International as part of the acquisition. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Asset International publishes the publications PLANSPONSOR, PLANADVISER, and Global Custodian, which target financial advisors, pension managers, and others. Casella was most recently Vice Chairman of Reed Business Information, and has also served at RBI US (Cahners), IDG, and ABC Consumer Magazines.
