Austin Technology Incubator Ties with UK Utility Grid
The Austin Technology Incubator said today that it has inked a partnership with the United Kingdom's electricity distribution company, National Grid, in a move to help bolster clean energy innovation in central Texas. According to the two, the partnership will help develop innovative clean energy solutions, with hopes that National Grid can create stronger links with the start-up community here.
The two did not detail the exactly details of the partnership, but did say they hoped to let startups develop early relationships with National Grid. The Austin Technology Incubator is part of the University of Texas at Austin; the incubator said it has helped 250 companies raise over $1 billion of investor capital.
