Austin's Robert F. Smith To Pay Off Student Loans For Entire College Class

Robert F. Smith, a private equity investor who co-founded Vista Equity Partners, has promised to pay off the students loans for the entire, college graduating class of Morehouse College. Smith, a billionaire, announced the effort while giving the commencement address to the graduating class of Morehouse College over the weekend. It's expected that the move will cost between $10M to $40M for Smith. Smith has a home in Austin, although Vista Equity is based in San Francisco.
