AnovaStorm Gets Funding

Austin-based AnovaStorm, a developer of software used for J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) application deployment, said today that it has closed on an initial round of funding. Size of the round was not disclosed. The funding came from CAG Investments, and will go towards product development, sales, and marketing. AnovaStorm is headed by Derek Hutson, and also includes a number of other former, BuildForge executives. BuildForge was and Austin firm sold to IBM in 2006. AnovaStorm's software is aimed at automating the build and release of J2EE applications; the firm said it expects to ship its product in Q2 of 2011. More information »
