Angel Investors Set To Hit Austin In 2012

Startups bemoaning the lack of angel investors in Austin -- will have those angels coming to them in droves, although they'll have to wait until next year. The Angel Capital Association, a national group representing a significant number of angel investment groups across the nation, said Wednesday that it has selected Austin as the site of its next, national meeting. According to the group's Executive Director, Marianne Hudson, the group has selected Austin for its 2012 Annual Summit, the group's annual meeting. The group--which held its last national meeting in Boston in March--has scheduled its event for March 6th through 8th, 2012. The Angel Capital Association's board includes some local, angel representation, via Jamie Rhodes, of the Central Texas Angel Network.
