Alpheus Communications Extends Into Mexico

Houston-based Alpheus Communications said today that it has extended its Ethernet services into Mexico. Alpheus said the extension comes via a new relationship with Marcatel. The two said the deal will create an optical network-to-network interface in McAllen, Texas, and allow the companies to buy services from each other. The two are aiming at serving enterprises and carriers with needs in South Texas and Mexico. Financial details of the deal were not announced.
