Alert Logic Joins Payment Card Industry Group

Alert Logic Inc., a Houston-based publisher of on-demand compliance and security software, reported Thursday that it has joined the Payment Card Industry Security Vendor Alliance. According to Alert Logic, the PCI SVA works with retail and payment card industries to develop efficient and cost-effective ways to achieve compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard, an international benchmark for improving payment card transaction security. Alert Logic noted that it also helps its customers achieve PCI DSS compliance by serving as an approved scanning vendor for the PCI Security Standards Council. As an approved vendor, Alert Logic said it helps merchants evaluate the security of their systems.
