Alert Logic: Great 2008 Growth

Houston-based Alert Logic is reporting that the firm has seen record growth in 2008, seeing 80% revenue growth last year. The firm, which makes IT compliance and security software, said that the growth was in part due to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements. PCI DSS is a standard being implemented by companies which accept credit card data. Actual financial results at the privately held firm were not disclosed. The firm said that, despite the current economic climate, that it anticipates growth across its business in the coming year.
