Affinium Pharmaceuticals Gains $15M

Austin- and Toronto, Ontario-based Affinium Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceuticals firms developing anti-infectives, said Monday that it has raised $15M in a financing round. The round came from SV Life Sciences, Genesis Capital Partners and Forward Ventures, as well as new investor Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund (OETF). Affinium said the new funding will go towards completion of a Phase 2 trial for an oral tablet and Phase 1 trails of an IV formulation of its anti-infectives. More information »
