Active Power Wins Order In The UK

Austin-based Active Power, a developer of flywheel-based backup power systems, reported today that it has received an order from what it describes as a "large" United Kingdom-based consumer goods manufacturer. The firm said the order is for a 40-foot, containerized PowerHouse system. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. The firm said it expects to ship the system in Q3 of 2010.
