ACS Gets Florida Contract

Dallas, Texas-based Affiliated Computer Services Inc., a provider of business-process outsourcing and information technology consulting to corporations and government agencies, announced Tuesday that it has won a contract to provide the state of Florida with Medicaid drug therapy management services. ACS said the contract issued by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration has a potential value of $11 million and duration of four-and-a-half years if three one-year options are exercised. ACS explained that it will partner with the agency to develop methods for training physicians, pharmacists and patients on how to best utilize Medicaid's prescription drug program.
