Ziften Names Research VP

Austin-based Ziften Technologies announced this morning that it has named Luca Loiodice to the position of Vice president of Research and Core Technology. Loiodice was most recently a Demand Media, working on a machine-learning recommendation engine; he also has served at Click Forensics, Microsoft, Symantec, and IBM/Tivoli, and founded security software firm i-Stilo. Ziften is venture backed by Fayez Sarofim & Co. and Trellis Partners.
