Xtreme Power Snags $5.75M In Funding

Austin-based uninterruptible power supply developer Xtreme Power has just raised $5.75M in a debt financing round, according to a regulatory filing by the company. The funding is part of an ongoing, $10.0M funding effort. It appears the funds are a convertible bridge round for the company. Details on the funding, and source, were not disclosed. Xtreme Power's systems are being used as part of solar, wind, and other installations, in part to help smooth out the output from those renewable energy facilities. The company's systems are also used in traditional, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) applications like data centers. More information »
