Wireless Seismic Raises $12.5M

Sugar Land, Texas-based Wireless Seismic, a developer of seismic data acquisition systems for the oil and gas industry, announced this morning that it has raised $12.5M in a funding round. The round came from Total Energy Ventures, along with existing investors Chesapeake Energy and Energy Ventures. According to the company, which is led by Roy Kligfield, Total Energy Ventuers has added Christophe Tonion to its board from Total Energy. Wireless Seismic says its systems are used both for conventional surveys as well as for monitoring hydraulic fracturing. More information »
