WiQuest Inks Design Win With Kensington

Allen, Texas-based WiQuest, which is developing ultra wideband semiconductors for the wireless USB market, said today that the firm has been selected by Kensington for a wireless USB docking station. Financial impact of the design win was not disclosed. WiQuest's chips will be used in the docking station, which provides video, audio, and USB connectivity for notebook PCs. WiQuest said that Kensington is using the firm's Wireless USB Device Mini Card reference design in the docking station. The firm is venture backed by Adams Street Partners, the D.E. Shaw Group, TriplePoint Capital, Sequoia Capital, Menlo Ventures, Palomar Ventures and iD Ventures America.
