Wayport Wins HealthSouth Account

Wayport Inc., a provider of managed wireless Internet services, revealed Wednesday that health care giant HealthSouth Corp. has chosen Wayport to provide various services—including complimentary wireless Internet access—at the company's 94 rehabilitation hospitals. The financial impact of the managed services contract was not disclosed. Wayport said it will install its network throughout each hospital, including patient rooms, cafeterias, waiting rooms and other common areas. The Irving, Texas-based business added that its public- and private-side services have already been deployed and are operational at 12 trial locations.
