Vignette Scores New Patents

Austin-based Vignette, a provider of web content management systems, said Thursday that it has received three new patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Vignette said the patents covered tracking and visual analysis of site visits, portability of web components, and the technology behind the company's WebCapture product for capturing and playing back web interaction. The patents granted were U.S. Patent no. 7,278,105, which according to the USPTO was filed in July of 2002; U.S. Patent no. 7,293,070, filed in March of 2002; and U.S. Patent no. 7,287,071, which according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office was filed in February of 2001.
