Valence Powered Floor Scrubber Gets Award

Austin-based Valence Technology, a devleoper of energy storage products, said Thursday that the firm has powered the development of an advanced battery system being used in a cordless floor scrubber, which just received an industry award from the National Restaurant Association. According to the firm, its systems are being used in the Ecolab Scrub N Go Cordless Floor Scrubber from the Tennant Company, which just won a 2010 Kitchen Innovations award from the National Restaurant Association. The floor scrubber is enabled by a bank of Valence Technology advanced batteries. The firm had inked a two-year supply agreement with the Tennant Company for the product in October of 2009.
